Say See Show is committed to protecting your privacy and personal data, in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR (EU), PIPEDA (Canada), CCPA & COPPA (California, USA), BDSG and TTDSG (Germany), FADP (Switzerland), and LSC (Vietnam). This policy explains what data we collect, why we process it, how long we keep it, your rights, and the security measures we take.

Data We Collect

When installing or first using the app (users without a license):

  • Collected data: usage date, language, country

  • Purpose: anonymous usage statistics

  • Retention period: 2 years

  • Personal nature: non-personal

When acquiring a license:

  • Collected data: subscription date, country, language, unique device ID

  • Purpose: service delivery, license management, security

  • Retention period: until the day after the license expires

  • Personal nature: indirectly personal (device identifier)

Use by Minors

The app is available for users aged 15 and up. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 15. No behavioral tracking or targeted advertising is used. In compliance with COPPA, GDPR Article 8, and the Swiss FADP, no processing of children’s data occurs without verified parental consent.

Legal Basis for Processing

Our processing is based on:

  • Performance of a contract (license and security service)

  • Legitimate interest (usage analysis, application security)

  • Compliance with legal obligations

International Data Transfers

All data is hosted within Europe (France and Switzerland) by Infomaniak, a GDPR-compliant hosting provider. No data is transferred outside the EEA or to non-adequate countries.

Security Measures

We implement robust security measures including:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest

  • Restricted access to data by authorized staff only

  • Regular security audits

  • Secure hosting with Infomaniak

No Data Sale or Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. Data is only stored securely by our hosting provider, Infomaniak, which has no access to its content.

No Cookies or Trackers

The app uses no cookies or tracking tools. As such, no consent banner or cookie management is required (per TTDSG, GDPR, FADP).

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may exercise the following rights:

  • Access to your data

  • Rectification of your data

  • Erasure (“right to be forgotten”)

  • Restriction of processing

  • Objection to processing

  • Data portability

  • Withdrawal of consent, where applicable
